RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP PROGRAM

The Responsible Dog Ownership Program (RDO) is a 7 week course of basic obedience (sit, heel, down, stand, recall and stay exercise) conducted by the Ballaarat Dog Obedience Club Inc.

The course includes lectures from a local Vet, a dog behaviourist, the Ballarat City Council Animal Bylaws Officer, a session on grooming your dog and a supervised walk with your dog around a shopping centre.

Everyone who passes the full 7 week course will receive a graduation certificate.

Dogs entering the class must be registered with a municipal Council and be fully vaccinated. Proof of Council registration and vaccination status should be presented on enrolment night.

Participants are not required to join the club. However, we do ask that you make a commitment to attend for the whole 7 weeks of the course.

Course is conducted at the BDOC clubrooms in Military Drive, Victoria Park, Sturt Street, Ballarat. The course is offered only on a Wednesday night commencing at 6.30pm. All traing sessions  are 1 hour long and are by trained obedience  instructors.

COST of 7 weeks course is $80.00 for the general public and $60 for pensioners / health card holders.  (proof required). Maximum of 10 dogs per class.

DATES FOR COMMENCEMENT OF NEXT PROGRAM: Commencing Wednesday 5th March 2025.

REGISTRATION: Wednesday, 26 February 2025 at Ballarat Dog Club in Military  Drive Victoria Park  at 6.30pm. (No dogs please). Please ring Carol on 0431 225 596 to book your place in the course as numbers are limited.
