BECOMING A MEMBER
Enrolment days are held at our Clubrooms on specific published dates and times (please refer to our ‘Club News’ section on the home page of this web site for the date of the next enrolment) The address of the Clubrooms is Military Drive, Victoria Park, Sturt Street, Ballarat.

You can download a membership form APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP Oct-Nov-Dec that you can complete before you come on the day.
You can also download our New Member’s information document about our club New Member Information and the Club Rules and Regulations BDOC Rules 1 to 12. Rules 13 to 47.
You will be required to complete the Membership Application form and pay the appropriate fees.
Please bring with you your dogs current vaccination certificate and your VCA and Pension Card/Student Card if they are applicable.
PLEASE NOTE if you do not bring your dogs current vaccination certificate with you when you come to join we cannot process your Membership. No dog can go onto the training ground without us first seeing a current vaccination certificate.
Payment can now be made with a Card but a 1.9% surcharge is applicable.
NO DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT ON ENROLMENT DAY

All persons who handle a dog in class must be a member of the club.
Note: There is no extra charge if a member wishes to train more than one dog. However, the dog must be registered with the club and a current vaccination certificate sighted.
New members fees include:
- pro-rata annual subscription
- a once only joining fee
- all training fees irrespective of disciplines undertaken
- annual VCA Service Levy (this is discounted for VCA members who produce evidence of their VCA membership ie. CURRENT member card or digital card). We record the card expiry date as evidence that the card is valid and has been sighted. We do not record the card/member number.
Subscriptions expire on June 30th of each year, except that for new members joining in the April – June quarter the subscription expires on June 30th of the following year.
DISCOUNTS
PENSION CARD HOLDER / FULL TIME TERTIARY STUDENT OVER 18 YEARS
$10.00 discount on membership per annum. We MUST view your current pension card or student card.
We record the card expiry date as evidence that the card is valid and has been sighted. We do not record the card number.
JOINING FEE
No joining fee is payable if your dog is a rescue dog purchased from a recognised animal rescue organisation within the last six months. However, we MUST see evidence:
- of purchase
- of current C3 vaccination
Also, no joining fee is payable if you have completed the club’s Puppy PreSchool or Responsible Dog Ownership Program within the last 6 months..Evidence: confirmation by the Coordinators ( Obedience & PPS) or a club voucher issued by the Coordinators.
