CLASS TWO EXERCISES
- HEEL on a loose lead
- LEAD held in 1 or 2 hands
- SIT (while heeling, hands on if necessary)
- STAND (while heeling, hands on if necessary)
- DROP (while heeling, hands on if necessary)
- TURNS (left & right turns, about turns and U-turns)
- REVERSE
- SIT STAY (loose lead and returning around the back)
- STAND FOR EXAM
- DROP STAY
- RETRIEVE exercise
- CHANGE OF POSITION
STANDARD REQUIRED FOR PASS TO CLASS THREE
- Heeling, dog under control, higher standard than Class 1. To include left turns and left U-turns
- The dog to sit on command or automatically – when the handler comes to halt
- Drop using hand signal and verbal command
- Reverse – dog responding to voice and coming back willingly. Sitting in front of handler. Handler returning around back of dog
- Sit Stay, to the end of a loose lead, approximately 15 seconds – handler returning behind dog. Dog holding position for both stay and the return part of the exercise
- Drop stay, to the end of a loose lead, approximately 15 seconds – handler returning behind dog. Dog holding position for both stay and return part of exercise
- Stand for examination – dog beside handler
