RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP PROGRAM

The Responsible Dog Ownership Program (RDO) is a course of basic obedience (sit, heel, down, stand, recall and stay exercise) conducted by the Ballaarat Dog Obedience Club Inc.

The course includes lectures from a local Vet, a dog behaviourist, the Ballarat City Council Animal Bylaws Officer, a session on grooming your dog and a supervised walk with your dog around a shopping centre.

Everyone who passes the full 8 week course will receive a graduation certificate.

Dogs entering the class must be registered with a municipal Council and be fully vaccinated. Proof of Council registration and vaccination status should be presented on enrolment night.

Participants are not required to join the club. However, we do ask that you make a commitment to attend for the whole 8 weeks of the course.

Course is conducted at the BDOC clubrooms in Military Drive, Victoria Park, Sturt Street, Ballarat. The course is offered only on a Wednesday night commencing at 6.30pm.

COST of 8 weeks course is $60.00.  Maximum of 10 dogs per class.
