We had finally convinced mum and dad to let us get
a dog but there were several conditions. We couldn’t
have a dog that barked too much and we have no back
gate, so this dog had to want to stick around.
So after spending months looking at the RSPCA we spotted
Milo, a timid 2 year old with matted fur. After taking
him outside and playing with him it was decided that
he was the dog we wanted to adopt.
We
started dog obedience to teach Milo some basic obedience
and found that he picked it up really quickly and he
was very good at it. We then found out that there was
a children’s class so we joined that.
In the last year Milo has achieved lots of things such
as passing class 1 with Amy and Liam, passing class
2 with Amy and so close to pass class 3. He loves coming
to doggy school and cries when he is put back into the
car to go home. He has made some doggy friends and loves
to play. He will approach any dog with his tail wagging
but if they bark or growl he’ll hide behind your
legs.
As well as obedience Milo loves to participate in agility
although he is sometimes very worn out from obedience
and doesn’t want to run. He is always asleep on
the way home Sunday mornings – recovering from
the big morning.
Milo
loves playing with people, his toys and other dogs.
He chases balls, ropes, Frisbees’ and most things
that move. He will happily play with anything that plays
back and even things that don’t play back. We
play ‘catch Milo’ but he is too small and
fast to catch.
Doggy school gives Milo hours of fun and we would like
to thank all the instructors for their dedication on
Sunday mornings.
