LIBBY
LABRADOR
Libby, my 8 year old Labrador
loves to be loved and loves back unconditionally.
We tried in Obedience trials and Tracking;
she wasn’t interested.
I wanted to spend one on one time with
her, as Brigit my younger Lab. was taking up most of my
one on one time.
A friend suggested “tricks”
with Libby so we fronted up on Thursday nights this year,
then the fun began.
Neither of us had a clue as to the procedures
but with the help of Margaret and other members of the
group we are slowly learning.
As the tricks are food orientated, Libby is in her
glory.
As well as receiving food rewards for tricks performed,
she scours the floor for any titbits that may have dropped
accidentally.
She just loves it and has so much fun; the tail wags
non stop and she is so happy to be performing and rewarded.
It is also giving me quality time with her and it is Brigit’s
turn now to wait in the car.
