Jezza was born October 2007. He came into my life on
Boxing Day that year and changed it forever; I don’t
get up early for just anyone on a Sunday morning.
Jezza’s week day begins about 6.30am. He leaves
his bed and comes and joins me when Pasquale gets up for
work. We sleep and have a play for another hour before
both getting up and starting a new day.
If it’s Monday, Wednesday or Friday he stays home
on his own while I go to work and gets up to mischief.
When I get home there is always something that has been
dragged through the doggy door outside! We play for while
and do some training. He has dinner, and then we kick
back on the couch until bed time.
If it’s Tuesday or Thursday, I drop Jezza off at
his mate’s house on the way to work. He met Bailey
at dog school and they have become very good mates. I
pick Jezza up after work and he falls asleep in the car
during the 15 minute ride home from exhaustion. He has
dinner and puts himself to bed around 8.30, no doubt dreaming
about the fun he and Bailey had.
We graduated from puppy preschool in January 2008 and
that was just so exciting! We go to school every Sunday
that we can and we are now in grade four. He certainly
has an attitude towards some of the bigger dogs and we
are working on that with some of the instructors.
It’s such a great feeling when I take Jezza to
someone’s house or visitors come over and he does
what he is told. People comment on how obedient his is.
I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all the instructors
that freely give their time and knowledge and have helped
Jezza and me on our journey from puppy school to present.
