JULY 2005

GEORGE
CHOCOLATE LABRADOR

Philip Ward and George came together in October 2004. Philip previously had a Doberman who passed away twenty years ago, and he felt it was time to get back into training, so he and George joined the Ballaarat Dog Obedience Club.

George, who is now seven months old, absolutely loves coming to class on Sundays. Philip says, "He senses when he is down the road. He is well behaved until he comes to class!" George and Philip are involved in Obedience and Tricks, which Philip has dubbed "The Fun Class".

Eventually Philip hopes for George to become a tracking dog, as well as taking part in Trialling competitions.

George is a playful dog who is full of beans. He likes to play hide and seek late at night: hiding completely still under the doona covers until Philip finds him and goes to bed.

Philip and George live between Bendigo and Ballarat. Philip feels that our club is very welcoming, more so than some other clubs, so we will keep our welcomes forthcoming and friendly!
