I
got Ellie 11 March 2003. It took me almost 17 years of
constant nagging before mum and dad relented and brought
back Ellie as a surprise. The family instantly fell in
love with her.
I found out about the Ballarat
Dog Obedience Club in The Courier, and decided to take
Ellie there to learn to be ‘obedient’, so
that she wouldn’t turn out like the ‘problem’
dogs on Harry’s Practice.
I took her to the puppy pre-school and she absolutely
loved it. I kept taking her to classes and we then progressed
to puppy class.
From there we progressed to class one, and she had learnt
what day Sunday was. She sits and whines from the time
she wakes up until the time we reach the clubrooms and
she is allowed out of the car.
We have now progressed to class
three, and are participating in Agility. Ellie still loves
going to school to see her friends, and will be really
disappointed when school ends for the year.
Ellie and I have achieved what
the family wanted from Ellie through learning obedience,
and will keep coming to school for Ellie. I can’t
imagine Sundays without school anymore, and neither can
Ellie. |
